Here’s how our Train & Board works
Step one: on-boarding
After we’ve ensured that we are the right fit, we’ll get you started with an onboarding form. This form is where we get to know your dog, what their home life is like and their behaviors and what goals you have for your dog.
Step two: The Board & Train
We will work with your dog daily during the board and train to establish and pattern new behaviors and skills. We are getting your dog out of the old and into a new way of being. These skills will be the foundation for future problem-solving and building your relationship with your dog. In addition, during the board and train, we will post pictures and videos to our Instagram page so you can follow along with their progress.
Step three: Your turn
During your dog’s stay you will come to our facility for in-person lessons. Your lessons will start at the end of the second full week. You will then come in each remaining week of your program to get hands with your dog. These sessions are where we start training you to work with your dog. During the third week we will send out homework and other reading material so you can prepare for your dogs return home. This is essential in order to maintain the progress made during the board and train.
Step four: Training maintenance
At the end of your program you will have 2 private lessons at your home. These lessons are for us to check in and work on specific areas of challenge. Additionally, you will have access to our alumni group class. This class is for you to increase to your skills and gain confidence when handling your dog in a public setting around other dogs and people.
